Richard Nethercut

Background

Dick has been practicing law in Southeastern Minnesota since 1982, and currently concentrates in the areas of real estate, estate planning, probate, municipal law and elder law. He is City Attorney for the Minnesota cities of Harmony, Mabel, Canton, Whalan and Peterson. 

Dick was appointed by the Minnesota Supreme Court to serve on the Minnesota Client Security Board for six years, one year as Chair. He served as President of the Tenth District Bar Association, as well as multiple terms as president of the Fillmore County Bar Association. Dick is President of the Harmony Development Corporation, and previously served on the board of the Southeast Minnesota Development Corporation for ten years, including three as President.

He served on the board of Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center for twelve years, three years as Chair, and continues as an advisor. Other community service includes chairing the Endowment Fund for Greenfield Lutheran Church.

Dick and his wife, Loni Kemp, live in their home in the woods, which they built thirty years ago. There they raised their two daughters and continue to garden and enjoy nature.

Dick is widely respected for his down to earth style of listening carefully to client concerns, and resolving issues through clear communication of legal options and solutions. He brings a clear ethical foundation to his 32 years in the practice of law.

Greg Schieber

Background

A Southeastern, Minnesota native, Greg moved to Fillmore County and joined the law firm in 2014. He focuses his practice in the areas of Family, Administrative, Agricultural, and Food Law, as well as assisting with client matters in all other practice areas handled by the office. Greg is licensed in both Minnesota and Iowa. 

Prior to a career in law, Greg lived and worked in Yellowstone National Park as an AmeriCorps volunteer, spent time as a journalist in Southeastern, MN, and worked on a Wyoming ranch. Subsequent summers were spent as a Camp Director at a family camp in Northern, MN. Greg spent his most formative years growing up on a dairy farm in Southeastern, MN and later worked on a family dairy farm and a small vegetable farm. As a result of this upbringing, Greg possesses a particular interest in the success and vitality of small family farms and rural communities. In his free time, Greg is in the process of nurturing his own small farm in the Big Woods.

Greg combines his passion for solving problems and experience in providing quality customer service to fill his role as a legal advocate. He is eager to work with you to effectively and efficiently resolve your legal issues.
